A branch of the Scouts was formed in Hawick in 1908, shortly after the founding of the Scouting Movement by Lord Baden Powell, and the first mention of a Pipe Band appeared in 1917 as the Hawick Boy Scout Pipe Band...

The Ancient Sutherland tartan

The earldom of Sutherland dates from the 13th century, and is the oldest in Britain. Hawick Scout Pipe Band are proud to wear this historic tartan.

The band meet on Mondays and Thursdays 7:15pm to 9:00pm at the Scout Hall at 9 Union Street. New members can phone 01450 374383 for details... or just turn up. We'd love to see you.
